Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of radiology and uses minimally invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat disease. Interventional radiology also refers to diagnostic imaging techniques – like ultrasonic waves – which produce detailed images of the internal body.
